Daddy and Kaylee's Day in the Woods!

For Daddy's Day, I took Daddy to the woods. Here's all the pictures Daddy took or a slideshow if you like that way better.

We met some people my Daddy knew from the O D F and they were walking around and looking at stuff. For awhile they stood around and were talking and talking. I told Daddy, "I'm tired of this story." they were talking about gates and garbage cans and other boring stuff. I threw sticks into a muddy mud puddle.

Then we left all the people and went to the Forest Center. Daddy got a map and talked to a ranger person. I looked around all the toys in the shop, and Daddy bought me a green fuzzy frog. Then we climbed up and up and up steps to the SKY... up to top of a tall tree house! (fire tower). I climbed the steps all by myself. We looked down and the people were small. I waved. Inside the house at the top of tower there were dishes and books and a radio with buttons to press. I didn't want to leave. We climbed all the way down the stairs - me all by myself! then we got to the bottom and Daddy asked "Where is your froggy?" Oh no! I forgot him up on top of the radio box in the house at the top of the tall tower! Daddy picked me up and we ran all the way back up to the top and there was froggy waiting for us.

Then we went to another place in the woods. It was called "Foot Bridge". We hiked down to the water (Wilson River) and threw rocks in the water over and over! It was fun!

We stopped at a store in the woods and bought some food and juice to drink. It was nap time by now, and Daddy drove home. I fell asleep listening to "Hop Hop!".

Swimming

I still like working on my swim kicks and playing in the pool. Today was the last day of this swim class, so I got my "sir tiff kit". It was pink this time! I didn't want to go down the water slide though, so I just played in the water with Mommy.

Trip to the Zoo

Aunka came for a visit and we took a trip to the zoo. I like seeing all the animals and wanted to go find the zebras, but not the elephants because they scare me. I got to feed the lorikeets some juice again. I like to feed them, but don't really like to have them get to close for too long. I also found the sandbox and enjoyed playing in that too. The polar bears were playing in the water, and it was fun to watch the sea lions too! I always have fun at the zoo and can't wait to go again!

"Nastics"

Today in "nastics" (gymnastics) we danced with ribbons, hung on the bar, practiced my balance, and did sommersaults. I even hung from the bar and did a forward roll over the bar. It was the first time I tried to do the bar in a long time. I don't really like the bars. My favorite thing to do is practice my balance. Nastics sure is fun. I even get a stamp at the end!

New School/Daycare

I have been hanging out with Aunka the past 8 months when Mommy and Daddy have to work and it's been a lot of fun! We went to story time, wetlands and even to the Museum a few times. Aunka now has a job "teaching kids" in Seattle and has moved backed. Last week I went to Ms. J's (House of Montessori) preschool for 3 half days. It is fun playing with the kids. We go outside, sing songs, play with play-doe, and eat lunch. I didn't want to leave at lunch time when Aunka came to pick me up early. The first day I was Ms. J's helper and followed her around. It is had to get up in the morning and get going in the morning.

Mother's Day at the Beach

Mommy, Daddy and I went to the beach for Mother's Day. It was fun. I ate weaky cheese from the cheese factory, went to the beach, sat on a log and ate hot dog and fries. I threw rocks in the water and "it was gonna get us!" I walked barefoot in the cold water because the big kids were doing it.

I also dug in the sand and played with the pups and chased Korshka in the water.
I gave Mommy a necklace and some flowers I made with Aunka for Mommy's Day before we left.

Mama and Daddy took me to my first fair! It was a lot of fun!!! I got to pet a chick.Daddy and I had fun walking around checking out the photo gallery and all the animals, but I was getting a little tired by the end.

Is my Mama a Llama? The llamas sure liked me. They came right up to the edge of their cages when I walked by. Must be my big brown eyes. And a lady offered to trade my mama and daddy a llama for me, but I think I am worth more than one llama!! Of course they didn't accept.

Sure had fun checking out all of the animals....pigs, goats, cows, llamas, horsies, ducks and geese! We also went into the petting zoo and saw a wallaby (like a kanagroo....only smaller.....). I ate some icecream, and mama dumped it all over me!!
Can't wait till next year! Maybe I'll get to go on a few rides!

My First Day at Daycare!

My mama had to go to eye doctor today and so I got to go to play on a real farm like my toy one! The daycare lady is really nice. There are just a few other kids who also play there too. They are fun. We took a ride to go get the daycare ladys daughter from camp.

Crazy time with Gamma and Auntie........

I had some fun crazy time in Seattle with Gamma and Auntie over the weekend while Daddy and Mama took pictures of puppies at a herding trial.

Auntie, Gamma and I went for walks and kicked it at Auntie's. Had fun crawling around Auntie's. I also played with my sprockets that Gamma brought down. We also went to the Market where we ate steamed clams and bought flowers. I jumped around in a pile of pillows at the World Market and picked out a kittycat cup fot Auntie. We also went to Auntie's garden.

It was a lot of fun! Can't wait to do it again!!!

My First bike ride!!!!!!!

Today I had my first bike ride on my "Linus" seat. Mama, Daddy and I went to Minto "Doggie Island" Park. I was "Miss Serious" at first and not sure what to think of the whole experience. After awhile I was having fun and looking around at all of the trees. Doggie Island has a lot of neat bike paths! It was fun. Can't wait to do it again!
Oh, yeah.....and Daddy was testing out his "new baby". He got a cross-country mountain bike to be able to do more rides with Mama and I.

Mount St Helens....

We took a day trip to Mount St. Helens. It was a neat view, but we didn't get to go hiking because all of the trails were "no puppies". So we had a picinic lunch and found 3 geocaches in the area. It was fun!

Willamette Queen

Mama and Daddy went out to dinner on the Willamette Queen Sternwheeler for their anniversary, and they took me (of course). It was fun being out on the boat and I got to "drive" it and got a certificate. We had fun!!

Doctor's Appointment

I had my 9 month check-up today. I am healthy! I even had my eyes checked. I didn't like the sticky sensor-pads that they stuck to my head, or the eye patch and I kept trying to take them off, but once the pictures and sounds were on the screen I was distracted and focused on the test. My eyes are fine (was there any doubt! I've been tracking things since I was 1 day old!). I am beef caking up and I am 27 1/2 inches long and weigh 17 lbs 2 oz. I lucked out and didn't have to have any shots this time! My next check up is after my birthday.
Oh! and my 2 bottom teeth are now coming through and showing! I have been a little cranky because they hurt!

Trip to Montana....

Last month we took a trip to Montana. Mama and I flew out early and Daddy joined us later with the puppies. I had a lot of fun visiting Gamma, Grandpa Gene, Grandma, Papa, and all of my cousins, even my brandnew one, Jayden, and Grandpa Robert. Had fun camping and swimming. I had a full Fourth of July. We went to the parade in Laurel, then to a carnival at Grandma's church, and went to the fireworks in Laurel. The fireworks were a little too much for me at first. I wasn't sure what to think, and it was past my bedtime. But I fell asleep about 5 miutes in to them.
We also went to the cabin and met my Great-Grandparents and Grandpa Dave. It was neat to hike down to Double Falls.
It was a great trip, and I had fun "kicking it" with everyone, but was glad to get home!

Since I'm such a big girl, Mama and Daddy thought I should have my own blog to write things in! Mama and I spent the weekend in Seattle with Auntie Erika.

We had a lot of fun even though it was very hot!

We went to Deception Pass (I was woken up for the photo op), went Geocaching at Rosario Beach, a Wading pool in Volunteer park and took in A Midsummer's Night Dream at Shakespeare in the Park. We had lots of fun with Auntie!

BBQ and playing in the pool!

Mama and Daddy had a BBQ in their backyard and invited my birthmom to come and visit. We played in the pool. It was fun!
